deadCenter Film Festival Returns to Downtown OKC, Pre Productions is Onboard

Great news, film lovers! The deadCenter Film Festival is set to roll the projectors once again in the heart of Oklahoma City from June 8 to 11, 2023. As staunch supporters and contributors to the local film scene, we at Pre Productions are beyond thrilled for this comeback. Our very own Garrett Davis and Jack Counts will be there, blending in with the crowd of movie enthusiasts, industry professionals, and creators who are as excited as we are for the event.

The festival has been through quite a journey since it started in 2003. Despite the challenges brought about by the pandemic, it has evolved and adapted in innovative ways. The team behind deadCenter bravely decided to go virtual in 2020 and received recognition from the Smithsonian for their outstanding execution of one of the country's top virtual film festivals. It was a massive hit, with viewers from across the globe tuning in to catch the films.

But nothing beats the charm and energy of in-person events, right? The 23rd edition of the festival is particularly remarkable. A record-breaking 2,000 entries were received, making the selection process more challenging but equally rewarding. The festival has also made it to MovieMaker Magazine’s list of “50 film festivals worth the entry fee” once again, another testament to its prominence in the industry.
